DIC is an animation company that was founded in 1971. It went defunct on December 6, 2008, after it was folded and acquired by the Cookie Jar Group.

Why It's Mixed

• They created bad shows like mh:terribletvshows:Hammerman, mh:terribletvshows:The Wacky World of Tex Avery, Sailor Moon (DiC/Cloverway) etc. while also created some good shows like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, mh:besttvshows:Inspector Gadget, mh:besttvshows:The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, etc.

Bad Qualities

1. The pronunciation of its name can confuse people with the word "Dick", mainly due to the spelling of the name.
2. Their French Studio named "Les Studios Tex" isn't well received and produced mediocre or bad shows.
3. Many of the company's shows tended to be produced on low-budgets with very cheap animation. This usually happens from their shows releasing from 1989 until 1993.
4. It made a horrible dub for Sailor Moon because of the Americanizing, that stupid, worthless Sailor Moon Says segment that had nothing to do with the plot, flanderizing characters, a cheesy theme song, and to put the cherry on top, they marketed this for kids! Sailor Moon is supposed to be for teenagers, not for kids!
5. As mentioned in IQ#3, there are animation errors.
6. Made some bad shows like Sonic Underground, The Wacky World of Tex Avery, Super Duper Sumos, and Sabrina's Secret Life.

Good Qualities

1. This animation studio is known for creating several memorable and nostalgic shows such as mh:besttvshows:Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Gadget Boy, mh:besttvshows:The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, etc.
2. They had good voice actors like Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Kath Soucie, Susan Roman, Tracey Moore and Maurice LaMarche.
3. Some of the moments in their shows can funny, with clever humor. The animation errors are also sometimes funny.

Trivia

• DIC was folded in 2008 due to Cookie Jar Group acquiring it.

Comments

One has to consider that DIC diminished in quality since Andy Heyward bought the company from the original french owner Jean Chalopin
along with Bruno Bianchi, Shuky Levy and Haim Saban leaving DIC to make their own stuff

The other bad quality is that it tried to dub Sailor Moon and failed.
